Through the graciousness of The Manassas Museum and Manassas Horticulturist, Mr. Myron Carlson, we have been asked to assist with the pruning of their crape myrtles and ilex glabra, inkberry at the museum.

There are lots of questions that surround the pruning of crape myrtle, and it seems a great many of the answers do not connect with this plant’s genetic requirements. Join us, and let’s do it right together and help make the Museum’s gardens even more beautiful. We will also look at other plants and their pruning requirements as well as some large inkberry holly.

Class begins at 10am on Friday, 18 April 2008. We will prune until 2pm with a break for lunch. Bring a lunch, handpruners and handsaws; the Pruning School will provide drinks.

We will reschedule in the event of rain. Class is $40.00 along with your registration, mailed in before the class date to hold your reservation. Thanks, and we look forward to another provocative pruning experience on the 18th!
